Dear all,

Firstly a big thank you to all the players who have indicated their availability and desire to represent SASH at this years BiSHA Regional Tournament. As per my previous correspondence, the region has been able to enter two teams at this years tournament as a result of SESHA declining the opportunity to take party. To be able to field two teams in what is a premier hockey event is a truly great reflection of the success of senior hockey leagues within the SASH region.

Such success always brings about its own problems when it comes to selecting the representative sides. From speaking to both team coaches it has been a very difficult decision to select the teams as the standard is very high this year. The coaches have however selected two teams, with the emphasis on the second team being on developing the younger senior SASH players. The two teams are:

The second youth regional trial of 2009 shall be held on Saturday 18th April 1.00pm - 3.00 pm @ Ash Manor School, Manor Road, Ash GU12 6QH. This trial is an open trial to all youth and exceptional peewee's playing in the SASH region. Cost will be under £5 dependant on numbers. Please note this is the last trial session, so for those that did not attend last time it is essential for you to attend on the 18th April. For those that did trial on the 29th March, I strongly advise and expect you to attend once again on the 18th April as this will only improve your chances of making the team!
If you are attending (or cannot attend but did come to the last trial session and would still like to be considered for the team) can you please advise me by email, (will.crowder@btinternet.com).

Youth Liason

The first youth regional trial of 2009 shall be held on Sunday 29th March 3.30pm - 5.30 pm @ Ash Manor School, Manor Road, Ash GU12 6QH. This trial is an open trial to all youth and exceptional peewee's playing in the SASH region. Please note I have arranged this trial around league fixtures, so players playing in the last youth game of the day on 29th March have enough time to travel from Farnborough to Ash. Cost will be in the region of £5 - £7 dependant on numbers.
If you are attending or cannot attend but would still like to be considered for the team can you please advise me by email, (will.crowder@btinternet.com).

With the new season just weeks away the fixture list is now out, Sash are going to be running a second senior b league this yeah and will be located at Faringdon.

Due to increasing popularity and an expanding membership, The Swindon Flames are hoping to field a Peewee team, two Youth teams, two Junior teams and two Senior team in 2009 and are now actively looking to recruit new players in all age groups in preparation for next year’s season.
